Schilter Family Farm Pumpkin Patch

On Thursday of last week I got to enjoy a field trip with my daughter’s preschool class. The whole class went to Schilter Family Farm to pick pumpkins! I haven’t been there since I was younger and I forgot how much fun it is. They have added lots of new stuff since I was a kid.

While we were there were got to see and pet the animals. They bunnies and goats were my favorites! After that we headed into a big barn and did a hay maze, then it was all aboard the tractor to take a quick tour of the farm and head over to the pumpkin patch! After picking out their pumpkins the kids got to play on the playground in the rain, which they thought was a blast (me not so much)! They also lots of other things that we didn’t explore while on the field trip…

  1. Pumpkin Blaster & Corn Cannon

  2. Hay Jump & Sand Table

  3. Fort Nisqually

  4. Berry Bouncer Jumping Pillow

  5. Round-Up Railway

  6. Pony Rides

  7. Pedal Tractors

The farm is conveniently located off I-5 in the Nisqually Valley at Exit 114 which is only minutes from JBLM. You can more on the Schilter Family Farm website.
